With
the exception of receipts from ticket sales, all of the choir's
budget is funded by donations and grants. The Choral
Arts Society is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Fund distributions
pay for hiring an orchestra for each performance, special guest
artists fees, rental fees for concert facilities, purchasing
music or paying for rights to use it, rental fees for our practice
facility at Taylorsville High School, and salaries to our music
staff. The free-to-the-public Days of '47 Pops Concert alone
requires a budget in excess of $40,000.
The choir
also presents benefit concerts every year to provide money
for schools and
other worthy community projects, the most
popular being the KUTV 2News/Salvation Army Angel Tree Program.
Depending
on the level of contribution, your benefits could include
advertising in all our programs, TV spots, free concert tickets,
and acknowledgement on our sponsor list in programs and on
our
web site. See our list of generous sponsors.
